emerging Technology 3- Facebook

i wanted to do my last emerging technology on facebook, because it is becoming one of the most important tools of our time. Facebook started off being ran out of a college dormitory, and now the creator is one oof the richest dudes on the planet. There is no denying it is an impressive site. facebook is essentially a place where you can go online to be able to stay in contact and interact online with friends. Also if you never got the email of that awesome friend you made while you were in denver over the summer, you can probably find him there. Facebook is very simple and easy to use, and it has many features. You can set up groups public and private for clubs or interests or whatever. I havture.e been using facebook for a few years now, and I can see that there are a few pitfalls, but it could be useful for class. In a high school setting, you could have your students join a private face book group for that class, and post pictures,assignments, notes, important dates, etc. This could be very beneficial for the teacher, not only to get info across to the students, but to connect to the students, and assimilate to youth culture
